Hotel Diablo has captured
Hollywood's darker side with 'The Return To Psycho, California'.
The band formed in early 2011, when vocalist Rick Stitch and
guitarist Alex Grossi had just come off a grueling world tour
with original Guns N' Roses drummer Steven Adler in support
of his tell-all biography. Upon returning home, Alex and Rick
both departed the Adler camp in search of a fresh project and
when they played a one-off gig in Hollywood with powerhouse
rhythm section Mike Duda and Mike Dupke, everyone in the room
had the same, excited feeling. The chemistry was undeniable!

Forged in the blazing heat
of the Austin, Texas music scene, Street Light Suzie is a
rock quartet like no other. Band leader and songwriter Wiley
Ross started the group as a trio in 2008. After touring the
country, including a packed show at LA's Viper Room, personnel
changed and Ross decided to mold it into a fearsome foursome.
This gave Ross the chance to do more as a showman and add
keyboard to the mix. The band has continued to play Texas
and the Midwest.

See what some of are readers are writing us about. Have
something interesting to say? Let's hear it. Let others know
what you are thinking about...

So you've played a few
local shows, you're enjoying being a local celebrity and you've
decide that you are going to try and "make it" as
a professional band. The life of a famous band musician certainly
looks fun and may even appear easy, but I assure you it is
anything but easy (although it is fun!). You will have A LOT
of knock backs along the way and will have to train yourself
to become thick skinned, determined and work harder than you
ever have in your life. After all, if it were easy to become
rock star than everyone would be one!

It is very common for a venue to have
a decibel limit in place to keep the noise down to the desired
level. This is sometimes a personal decision, but more often
than not a legal stipulation which the venue must obide by.
Low decibel limits can make it difficult for DJs and musicians,
but it is imporant to remember that often the venue don't like
it either. They are just doing what they are told!

You want to see your Indie music take on a new life? Well follow
these simple steps to take on a new direction and new journey,
that will have lasting effects on your musical career.

Now if you know someone who blogs about bands
or music, good for you! Perhaps you can get them to write up
a review about you and your music. If you are friends with someone
who works at your local newspaper, great, try to get them to
write something up about you. If you don't have any friends in
high places things are going to be harder for you, but not impossible.
You'll just have to work extra hard and not let rejection get
you down. Remember I was talking about rejection on the very
first page? This is where you'll get the bulk of it.

It's no secret that there are oodles of fantastic
websites, blogs and tools out there for musicians. But sometimes,
the thought of scouring the worldwide web in search of them seems
like too daunting of a task. And let's face it, most musicians
also have a day job. It's not like you can just sit in front
of the computer and spend your days thinking about how you plan
to infiltrate the masses. (Or maybe you can?) So much choice,
so little time...
