The Jamie King Colton Band
is a High-Energy 5 piece Classic Rock Jam Band! The King plays over 30
instruments and was named Entertainer Of The Year. Jamie has been touring
around the World playing some of the biggest concerts with everyone from
Bob Seger, Dave Mason, Kenny Wayne Sheppard. With 5 CD's released Internationally
and has appeared on numerous TV shows over the years.
Having started music at the age of 7, by 12 he was in
a band performing in Buffalo, N. Y. While in High School he joined Motown
Records and scored many Top 10 Hits. One release after Motown was at
#1 "Here
Come Da Judge"
He toured the country doing shows throughout the
US and Canada including many Air Force Bases.In 1977 he enrolled in college
in Michigan and played in The Jazz Octet performing at many Jazz conventions.The
group was ranked 4th in the US and he won Two Awards for Outstanding
Soloist on Alto and Baritone sax. He moved to S.Fla in 1979 and recorded
an album of his original compositions using Billy Joels drummer and bassist,
Elvis's Background singers,the drummer for BS&T and other great musicians. |

King Joins Rock And Roll Hall of Famer and Legend Dion
In 1980 he joined the twins
Mark & Clark playing 13 instruments with them.They were signed with Columbia
Records and appeared on almost every major entertainment show on TV.They won
The Carbonell awards for "Best Nightclub Act" & "Entertainer
Of The Year". Their soldout performances took them to The Buena Vista
Palace (Part of Disney) where they became the house band for almost 6 months.In
1990 King joined forces with Rock & Roll Hall of Famer and Legend Dion.

During that time he did
11 world Tours including Australia, US, Canada and a show in Athens,Greece
that was aired on TV in 33 countries. He has performed in concert with
The Four Tops, The Temptations, Little Richard, 3 Dog Night, Frankie
Valli, Fats Domino, Jay Black, The Everly Brothers, Lou Christy, The
Righteous Brothers, Albert Lee, Aaron Neville, Toby Keith, Jerry Lee
Lewis and to many more to list. He became Musical Director for Grammy
Winner Little Eva and toured with her for 3 years.
They did 39 shows in 28
cities across The UK. Everyone was sold out including two at The London
Palladieum.He received an award for a sell out tour. They also played
Scotland and Wales. King has 5 CD's released worldwide and another 4
ready to go.
He is currently
in the studio working on his next Monster release !He did a concert with
Dave Mason and got several standing ovations. He headlined at The South
Florida International Blues Festival with Kenny Wayne Shepard, Tinsley
Ellis, Anthony Gomes, Janiva Magness, Michael Burks, Carl Wethersby,
Super Chicken and more.
He did the voice over for 3 Nintendo Games and
has written and produced many Radio and TV commercials including one
for The Armed Forces that aired at all the US bases around the world.
He also starred in the movie The Spacey Brothers and did the entire soundtrack
with original works.His Sax solos were used in the movies "Michael" starring
John Travolta,William Hurt and Andie MacDowell also "The Long Kiss
Goodnight" with Geena Davis and Samuel L. Jackson.

He is performing in S. Florida with his new band "The
Jamie King Colton Band" and features many great talented players. They
play Classic Rock Hits, done their own way, some newer Rock and originals.
The group has just shot a new video and have been asked to perform in collaboration
with Roy Young who is the Top Boogie Pianist in England and performed with
The Beatles, Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, David Bowie and many more greats. They
will be doing shows together backing Roy and doing their show for fans soon.
