Rami Jaffee, is best known as the keyboardist of Foo Fighters and The Wallflowers as well as featured in the work for several bands and artists, including Pete Yorn, Soul Asylum, Pearl Jam, Stone Sour, Joseph Arthur and Coheed and Cambria. Rami has also played on recordings by acts as diverse as Fall Out Boy, LeAnn Rimes, Melissa Etheridge, Keith Urban, and Ziggy Marley among many others, lending his distinct signature keyboard sound along the way. 

Currently Fernando Perdomo is the head of Forward Motion Records, the leader of Dreaming in Stereo, and guitarist for Chris Alvy Band. He produces many artists including Jorge Moreno, Alih Jey, and most of the artists on Forward Motion. Forward Motion Records releases "Forward Motion Records Live." An exciting document of the South Florida label's 1st anniversary show which was held at Revolution Live in Ft Lauderdale, Fl. The event raised money for the Kristi House Charity and awareness for Musicians on Call.

If you accept the premise put forth by Keith Richards that the title of "greatest rock and roll band in the world" is determined on a nightly basis, then we want to tell you about a guy that owned it on quite a few nights, a band that, for a variety of reasons, fell through the cracks and never got the recognition they deserved.

Cat Shell, Miami Beach resident, has been playing music in South Florida since 2007. Since her start, Cat has progressed from throwback Jazz & Blues to a more grown up sound that mixes R&B, Pop, and Neo-Soul. Her sound is sophisticated but laid-back, sexy but not over the top. For the past year, Cat has been working  on her sophomore album "Illusion" due out tin early 2012.

We would like to share our condolences during this sad time with the passing of our friend Bobby. Bobby was a great musician who was respected by all his peers, many friends and fans. One of the kindest people in the South Florida scene, Bobby will be sorely missed and remembered by all he came in contact with throughout his life. Our blessings go to his family and may the love for Bobby in our hearts be with you. We will miss you friend.

When a file is exported too hot, the result is that there is no variation between the louder sections and the parts that are supposed to softer. The reason is that in digital music production, there is a ceiling to how loud a track can be, this is referred to as the zero attenuation point and roughly corresponds to the 'red line' maximum level on the output slider

Chances also are that you are unknowingly spamming thousands of people and turning people away from your band rather than turning them on to your band. It's not your fault. Everyone is doing it. However, if we want to turn this around we need to get classy rather than feed this intensive devaluation of independent music.

Get your music out there where it can achieve the most visibility and profit. Live music gigs can be quite scarce (depending on where you live) and the supply of musicians willing to work on the cheap is increasing thus depressing the market. That is why you can live in a music Mecca like Nashville and find the world’s greatest and famous musicians playing for tips!!

You might have been one of the musicians or bands who upload your music on YouTube, and other social media sites wherein people can watch and listen to your creations. I bet that you would love to earn profits from all of your hard work. You might be thinking how an indie artist can make money and sell music online? If you have no idea how to do this, here are some tips that can help you along the way.

Being in a band is generally a very positive experience. You get to be creative, challenge your musical skills, play on a stage and hang out with friends but there are many scenarios that can lead you to want to quit a band. You might not have enough time any more through work or other life commitments, you might have creative differences in the band and want to go off and do something different, you may have fallen out with other members of the band or you may even have an injury that means you can't play anymore.

The best way to have great sounding recordings at the studio is to be prepared as a band.
