By Martin Chaddock
The Roasts on Comedy
Central have brought back a whole new era in old
school entertainment. I was always a huge fan of the Dean
Martin Roasts and when they would play the infomercials
on cable TV in the middle of the night, I was captivated
by how amazing they were.
Now that they have been reinvented, I definitely
appreciate them and always watch them.
I think Jeff Ross is hysterical and takes
his humor the next level and I am personally not offended. How
can you be offended when the people you are making fun
of are on the dais. I have to say by far my favorite roast
with Jeff Ross was when he was roasting Emmitt Smith and
you decide for yourself… |

Babrbaric?
Don Rickle was pretty barbaric himself
when he was on the Dean Martin Roasts back in the day…

I am glad that the roasts have been reinvented because people
take themselves too seriously and the roasts provide a way for
people make fun of themselves and gives comedians an outlet to
again bring their talent to the general public and establish
a following for shows on the road. Some of the best roasts on
Comedy Central that work for me are:
- The Roast of Pamela Anderson
- The Roast of Bob Saget
- The Roast of Joan Rivers
- The Roast of Donald Trump (why “The
Situation” was
there makes no sense)
- The Roast of Charlie Sheen
- The Roast of David Hasselhoff
- The Roast of Gene Simmons
- The Roast of Flava Flav
Look for these episodes on demand or on youtube and let us know
which one is your favorite.
